I've been wandering quite a bit the last few days and tonight I found myself in downtown Minneapolis walking toward the sound of falling water. A moment later I was in awe. I'd have been content with just this waterfall. It actually seemed extravagant for my needs, really. A waterfall is a perk in this gnome's eyes! But there was a great green lawn and the thought flashed through this red hat of mine that this could be THE lawn to guard. But the house on this lawn -- the source of my sudden awe -- is crazy. Carazy! There's a giant TV in the yard and it has its own TV station to boot! I found out the place is called WCCO. My curiosity got the best of me and I walked past this stay out sign and followed a long hallway to a large room with an empty bar and bright lights. There was a room with lots of TVs. This made me think that maybe the whole television station thing was a front for laundering stolen television sets and then selling them out of vans somewhere. I mean, Aaron doesn't live in a bad neighborhood or anything, but I heard stories from other gnomes -- gnomes with illegal things stuck inside them. I digress.
I'm wandering around this television station and BOOM! Holy crap -- I almost popped
my belt when I saw that someone was home! This guy didn't seem to care though -- he started bouncing some ideas off me right away. Whew. He introduced himself as Don Shelby and then Mr. Shelby introduced me to his friend, a Mr. Mark Rosen. Now, I know I'm not a tall gnome -- it's sort of implied when you tell someone you're a gnome -- but this guy seemed like a bona-fide giant! Tonight I learned that opposites do attract. I felt that me and the giant man bonded.
